Learning outcomes from the second semester

  • The master graduates will learn the principles of sustainability and SDGs, the policies to promote them, the clean energy generation, the basics of climate change, and the risks of extreme climate events. They will also learn the basic concepts related to mobility plans.
  • Will learn the procedures for the recycling of materials and their behaviour. They will learn keyissues in decarbonisation in the production of materials and construction procedures, the life cycle analysis of building products and the assessment of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) reduction.
  • Will learn the boundaries of a sustainability assessment, the designing principles of sustainable building and the use of different environmental labels. They will learn how to use multicriteria decision-making support methods to improve the sustainability of buildings.
  • Will learn the policies that promote the building’s performance and understand design principles that improve the building’s energy efficiency and indoor environment quality.
  • Will learn the importance of scientific research, the ethical principles in research, the procedure to find quality information, the steps of scientific methodology and data science. They will learn the importance of data science in sustainability and environment.
  • Will learn the importance of different renewable systems, their differences, their operatio principles, and the procedures to design them. They will particularly learn the ideas to improve renewable systems in buildings and the basics of battery management systems.
  • Students will continue to enhance intercultural skills and fluency in English.
